Helping Nature.....Working with Professionals

Logo

The Acorn Project was set up 2004 with the aim of helping animals and nature, bringing awareness and education to the young as well as therapy and pleasure to the elderly, infirm or those with special needs.

Funded through our community and marketing services the project also works with individuals, small companies and organisations who are involved in nature, wildlife, pet care, the mind body spirit genre for people and animals, health and outdoor pursuits.

Our community work brings learning and joy to schools, nursing homes, special needs groups and we attend awareness events, workshops and shows.

Our founder Steve Shore can be contacted by email sshore@btinternet.com or telephone 07793-228049

The acorn project is based at Merlins Place where we look after a variety of creatures in need including wildlife casualties who come in through vets and animal rescue centres, as well some domestic animals and birds. Merlin's place is a private sanctuary and not open to visitors, our cats and dogs live in the cottage in a homely environment.
